Weather intelligence for every mile

AI-written route briefings, live weather alert polygons, a truck-driver hazard engine, and a Time-Table departure picker — all tied to the exact minute you expect to be there.

Built for drivers, not for dispatchers

Every feature ties back to one question: what’s the weather going to do on my route, and when?

AI Route Briefing

A 3–5 sentence, plain-English summary of weather along your exact route, generated on demand by Cloudflare Workers AI.

  • Llama 3.3 70B FP8 summarizes weather + alerts + derived hazards
  • Highlights notable weather changes mid-trip
  • Mentions the worst window and calls out what to watch for
  • Never invents conditions — grounded on the live forecast we send it
  • One tap from the briefing card

Route-Aware Forecasts

Authoritative gridded weather data sampled along your route and time-aligned to the minute you expect to be there.

  • 25+ variables per sample: temp, dewpoint, wind, gust, visibility, ceiling, precip, snow, ice
  • 8 sample points across the route with the full variable grid
  • Each sample resolved at its predicted arrival time, not "now"
  • In-memory caching keeps replans instant

Live Alert Overlay

Winter Storm Warnings, High Wind Warnings, Dense Fog Advisories, and the rest — rendered as severity-colored polygons on the map.

  • Zone and county geometries resolved from /alerts/active automatically
  • Point-in-polygon filtered against the actual route path
  • Tap any polygon for the full event, headline, instructions, and expiry
  • Inline accordion on the briefing card — no modal required

Truck-Driver Hazard Scoring

Six rig profiles scored against FMCSA-aligned operational thresholds — not generic weather warnings.

  • Blow-over thresholds from FMCSA + ATA + WY-DOT I-80 corridor criteria, by rig profile (RV, box, 53' loaded/empty, doubles, triples)
  • Crosswind: wind component perpendicular to your heading at the exact ETA per segment
  • Black-ice risk: temperature ≤ 33 °F + measurable precip
  • Whiteout / blowing snow: snow + wind ≥ 25 mph + visibility
  • Hydroplaning, fog, severe weather (SPC outlooks), and active NWS alerts intersected with your route
  • Every threshold cited inline in source — auditable, not magic numbers

Time-Table Departure Picker

Sweep the next 12 hours hour-by-hour and pick the calmest window. Rescoring takes a second — forecast data is already cached.

  • Each candidate scored with the same hazard engine as the live briefing
  • Active alerts intersected against the trip window (effective → expires)
  • Recommended window called out at the top
  • Tap any row to replan with that departure

Animated Precipitation Radar

Live radar overlay with crossfade playback — so you can see what’s coming and where it’s heading without leaving the map.

  • Refreshes automatically as new frames publish
  • Past frames with smooth cross-fade playback
  • Frame-by-frame scrub control in the corner
  • Color-coded reflectivity, tuned opacity

Saved Routes

Pin the runs you drive regularly. One tap to replan with today’s weather.

  • Unlimited saved routes on the Premium plan
  • 365-day route history for retrospectives
  • Round-trip and delayed-departure options
  • Syncs with your account across devices

Mobile-First PWA

Installable as a web app on iOS and Android. Safe-area aware, touch-friendly, and no pull-to-refresh footguns.

  • Glassmorph UI tuned for in-cab readability
  • Respects device safe-area insets (notches, gesture bars)
  • Auto-reloads when we ship a new version
  • Works offline for the app shell

Every CONUS state, one tap away

Weather, alerts, and radar all cover the continental US — plan a route between any two points in the lower 48.
