Beta Tester Agreement
Non-Disclosure & Early Access Terms
Welcome to the Traveler Beta Program!
First off, thank you for being an early supporter of Traveler. Your feedback helps us build something great for travelers everywhere. We truly appreciate your willingness to test new features and help us improve.
This agreement is designed to protect the work we're doing together. We've tried to keep it simple and fair. In return for early access, we just ask that you keep what you see confidential until we're ready to share it with the world.
The Quick Version
Before we get into the legal language, here's the plain-English summary of what we're agreeing to:
- You get: Free lifetime access to Traveler as a thank-you for being an early tester
- We ask: Please don't share details about unreleased features, our roadmap, or how things work under the hood
- Duration: Keep things confidential for 2 years from when you learn about them
- Feedback: We'd love to hear your thoughts—share them directly with us through proper channels
- What's okay: You can tell people you're a beta tester and share your general experience (just not the specific features or technical details)
Now, here's the formal agreement:
1. Parties to This Agreement
This Beta Tester Non-Disclosure Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between:
- wareOne LLC, doing business as Traveler ("Traveler," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Idaho; and
- You, the individual agreeing to these terms ("Beta Tester," "you," or "your").
By participating in the Traveler Beta Program, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
2. Purpose
You are being granted early access to Traveler's platform, including features, functionality, and information that have not yet been released to the general public. The purpose of this Agreement is to:
- Protect our confidential business information and unreleased features
- Enable open communication between you and our team
- Establish clear expectations for both parties
- Ensure competitors cannot gain unfair advantage from our development work
3. What's Considered Confidential
"Confidential Information" means any non-public information about Traveler that you learn through your participation in the Beta Program, including but not limited to:
3.1 Definitely Confidential
- Unreleased Features: New functionality, user interface designs, or capabilities that haven't been publicly announced
- Technical Details: How features work internally, system architecture, data processing methods, or integration approaches
- Product Roadmap: Planned features, development timelines, or strategic direction
- Performance Data: Speed, accuracy, reliability metrics, or any benchmarking information
- Business Information: Pricing strategies, partnership discussions, or competitive positioning
- Bug Details: Specific security vulnerabilities or exploitable bugs (please report these to us!)
- Internal Communications: Emails, Slack messages, or other communications from our team about development
3.2 Not Confidential
The following is not considered Confidential Information:
- Information that is already publicly available (on our website, press releases, etc.)
- Information you knew before joining the Beta Program
- Information you independently developed without using our Confidential Information
- Information we explicitly tell you is okay to share
- Your general opinion about whether you like the product (e.g., "I'm testing a new route-weather app and it's pretty cool")
4. Your Obligations
4.1 Keep It Confidential
You agree to:
- Keep all Confidential Information private and secure
- Not disclose Confidential Information to any third party, including friends, family, or social media followers
- Not post screenshots, videos, or detailed descriptions of unreleased features online
- Use the same care to protect our information as you would your own confidential information
4.2 No Competitive Use
You agree not to:
- Share Confidential Information with any competitor or potential competitor
- Use Confidential Information to build or help build a competing product
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or algorithms
4.3 Provide Feedback Through Proper Channels
We want your feedback! Please share it with us directly through:
- Email: beta@511.travel
- Our designated feedback forms or surveys
- Direct communication with our team members
Please don't post detailed feedback about unreleased features on public forums, social media, or review sites.
4.4 Report Security Issues Responsibly
If you discover any security vulnerabilities, please report them directly to security@511.travel. Do not disclose security issues publicly until we've had a chance to address them.
5. What You Can Share
We don't want you to feel like you can't talk about Traveler at all. Here's what's perfectly fine:
- "I'm beta testing a new route-weather app called Traveler"
- "I'm helping test a weather briefing app for truckers"
- General statements about your experience ("It's been helpful for my trips")
- Sharing publicly available information from our website or social media
- Recommending the public version of Traveler once it launches
6. Your Benefit: Lifetime Access
In exchange for your participation in the Beta Program and agreement to these terms, we grant you:
Free Lifetime Access to Traveler's premium features, as a thank-you for being an early supporter and tester.
This lifetime access is personal to you and may not be transferred or sold. It is subject to your continued compliance with this Agreement and our Terms of Use.
7. Duration of Confidentiality
Your obligation to keep Confidential Information confidential lasts for two (2) years from the date you receive each piece of information.
After two years, or once we publicly release the information (whichever comes first), you are no longer bound by confidentiality for that specific information.
Example: If we show you a new feature in January 2026, you must keep it confidential until January 2028, unless we publicly launch it before then.
8. Feedback and Ideas
We value your input! Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you share with us become our property to use as we see fit. This means:
- We may implement your suggestions without compensation
- We may use, modify, or share your ideas freely
- You won't claim ownership of features based on feedback you provided
This is standard for beta programs and allows us to freely improve the product based on tester input without legal complications.
9. No Warranty
The beta version of Traveler is provided "as is." Things may break, features may change, and data may be lost. That's part of being a beta tester!
We make no warranties about the beta version's reliability, accuracy, or suitability for any purpose. Please don't rely on beta features for critical decisions.
10. What Happens If You Break This Agreement
We hope it never comes to this, but if you breach this Agreement:
- We may terminate your access to the Beta Program and revoke your lifetime access
- We may seek legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages
- You acknowledge that breaches may cause irreparable harm that cannot be adequately compensated by money
If you accidentally disclose something you shouldn't have, please tell us immediately at legal@511.travel. Honest mistakes happen, and early notification helps us mitigate any issues.
11. Legal Stuff
11.1 Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ada County, Idaho.
11.2 Entire Agreement
This Agreement, along with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, represents the complete agreement between us regarding confidentiality and beta testing.
11.3 Modifications
We may update this Agreement from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued participation in the Beta Program after changes constitutes acceptance.
11.4 Severability

11.5 No Employment Relationship
This Agreement does not create an employment, partnership, or agency relationship. You are an independent beta tester, not an employee or contractor.
