Weather apps tell you the forecast for one point. Traveler samples up to 60 forecast cells along your route, time-aligns each one to your predicted arrival minute, and runs a hazard engine over the result — crosswind / blow-over, black-ice, hydroplaning, whiteout, severe weather, NWS alerts. Then an AI model summarizes it all in plain English for your rig.
We don't make up safety numbers. Crosswind / blow-over tip-speeds for each rig profile (RV, box truck, 53' loaded, 53' empty, doubles, triples) come from FMCSA crosswind safety guidance bulletins, ATA driver-safety advisories, and state-DOT operational thresholds — most notably WY-DOT's I-80 wind corridor criteria, which the industry treats as the de-facto baseline. Weather-side thresholds (freezing rain, snowfall rate, dense-fog, blizzard) follow NWS / NOAA practice. Every threshold in the codebase is cited inline so a driver, dispatcher, or auditor can verify the source.
